The Card Set
Your hero’s journey in 72 cards.
Not a classic tarot, but an independent card system – specifically tuned to the seven steps of life’s journey.
The Socrato Tarot takes up elements of the Major Arcana, connects them with numerology – life numbers as well as the qualities of day, month and year – and brings these levels together within the Socrato system. This way you recognise where you currently stand on your own hero’s journey and which theme is waiting for you there.

A hero is hidden within you.
A legacy of millions of years of evolution and experience. Your ancestors fought their way through the hardest situations, and deep within you their victories and solutions are imprinted. But modern life and the voices of others have silenced your inner hero.
The hero’s journey is one of humanity’s oldest stories. It runs through myths, legends, fairy tales and spiritual texts – because it describes what moves us all: the call of life, the trials of the path and the return with inner riches.
Inspired by these millennia-old stories, Socrato is your guide to awakening the hero hidden within you and taking the helm of your own life. It is time to become the hero of your own life.
FAQ
Questions & answers.
Why did you create the set and the book?
Since childhood I have been fascinated by stories and novels. At some point I discovered that practically all stories follow a certain pattern – in film as well as in novels.
For many years I examined whether this principle can also be applied to real life. I came across something exciting: our lives seem to follow similar, almost fractal patterns, on a large scale as well as on a small one. That means: the situations look different every time, but the path we walk within them shows astonishingly similar structures.
In Socrato I describe this path in 7 steps. We can find it in a relationship just as much as on the way to self-love, in reaching a professional goal or in the great phases of development in our lives.
Behind each of these steps lies a certain inner task. When we recognise which task is in front of us right now, we can take our next step more consciously. That is exactly what my book is about.
Do the cards work without the book?
Yes. The card set comes with a small booklet that lets you start right away.
However, I recommend reading the book as well. It explains the whole idea behind Socrato and the hero’s journey in detail. That way you can understand much better what the individual stations and cards can mean for your personal journey through life.
Does the book work without the cards?
Yes. The book works completely without the cards.
The card set is an addition for everyone who would like to see the stations of their own journey laid out in front of them. You can use it, for example, to look at your current life situation or at the relationship between your own life journey and that of a partner.
For me, the cards tell the story of our life’s journey once more in their own, pictorial way.
Is this just a classic tarot with different motifs?
No. The Socrato Tarot is an independent development, specifically tuned to the 7 steps of life’s journey.
It takes up elements of the Major Arcana, connects them with numerology – such as life numbers and the qualities of day, month and year – and brings these different levels together within the Socrato system.
The result is a card system meant to help you recognise where you currently stand on your own hero’s journey and which theme is waiting for you there.
Are there videos with instructions?
Yes. On my YouTube channel you will find numerous videos with instructions, answers to practical questions and card spreads (in German). There I also show how to work with the Socrato cards and apply them to different life situations.
Are there courses or trainings on Socrato?
Yes. The Socrato hero’s journey is a recurring part of our courses and trainings – on site as well as online. More at insi.life.
“In each of us lives a hero. The question is not whether you call him, but whether you are ready to follow him.”
